Is it true that the American government kills foreign people? by Tony Garcia
Answer by Tony Garcia:
First, why have you singled out the United States? Do you believe government-sponsored murder is unique to America? And what forms of murder are you accusing the U.S. of committing? Genocide? Democide?(1) Targeted killings?
Do you think that colonialism—a policy practiced by the Soviets, the British, the French, the Dutch, the Belgians and resulting in the deaths of thousands upon thousands of people—was any less heinous? Was Mao Zedong’s Great leap Forward, launched in 1958 and whose famine resulted in the deaths of 20 to 30 million people, any less insidious?(2)
And, of course, let’s not forget the orchestrated murder of millions of people by the Nazis in World War II.
Is it true that government-sponsored murder occurs? Yes.
