Is there such think as the JFK curse? by Tony Garcia
Answer by Tony Garcia:
No. The idea of a curse, in the case a generational curse, is an illusion. Curses are a convenient means by which to explain away tragedy and misfortune. The human brain is always trying to determine why things happen, and when the reason is not clear, we tend to make up some pretty bizarre explanations.
Much tragedy has befallen the Kennedys, but even Patrick Kennedy, a mental health advocate and son of the late Edward M. Kennedy, does not believe in the “Kennedy curse,” attributing some of the tragedy to mental illness and alcoholism.
