Does rain give people peace? by Tony Garcia
Answer by Tony Garcia:
It gives some folks I know a headache. It gives my dog an opportunity to mingle with the neighborhood kids, all of whom are splashing around in the puddles then tracking their footprints indoors.
It once gave me an opportunity to tell a child that a rainbow would be forthcoming—just as a lightning bolt took out a transformer perched on a pole. It also gave me a chance to chat up an exquisite-looking woman during a rain delay at a ball game.
Perhaps, along with some fantastic music, it did bring peace to the 400,000 or so at Woodstock in 1969—along with some very long lines to the toilets.
