What are some instances of economic terrorism committed against a country? by Tony Garcia
Answer by Tony Garcia:
One example would be the commando-type raids conducted by Alpha 66, the anti-Castro group formed in Puerto Rico in 1961. Beginning in 1962 and continuing into the 1970′s, these raids on ships docked in the Cuban ports of Isabela de Sagua and Juan Francisco Beach caused extra measures to be implemented to ensure the safe arrival of ships and their cargo, taxing the Castro regime’s already fragile economy. The group has also had confrontations with Castro’s forces at tourist facilities like those at Cayo Coco, where prostitution flourishes, further limiting the influx of foreign currency.
