Was Griselda Blanco actually going to have John F. Kennedy, Jr. kidnapped? by Tony Garcia
Answer by Tony Garcia:
Ah, "The Godmother of Cocaine," whose pithy response to those who owed her money was to kill them; to those to whom she owed money, she killed them as well; and to those who somehow offended her, she killed them. Allegedly, when Griselda was an 11-year-old in her native Columbia, she kidnapped a small boy from a wealthy neighborhood and demanded a ransom. When the family failed to pay the ransom—you guessed it—she shot the child in the head.
Griselda fled from her cocaine headquarters in Miami to Southern California, where she was finally arrested on federal drug charges that tied back to her earlier days in New York. She served 13 years in a prison in Dublin, California.
While in prison, Griselda was working on an elaborate plan to kidnap John F. Kennedy Jr. and hold him hostage in exchange for her release. But her plot was leaked to the FBI by her then-boyfriend and Griselda ended up finishing her prison sentence of 20 years.
